Episode 57: Who Cares About Pete Townshend?

Well, Jason and I do, so there.  Jason even gets a little too close to him.

(At least I’m tall enough that I could have looked him in the eye. I also wouldn’t have worn a peach shirt)

Anyway, I can think of no better way to re-launch the podcast than to celebrate Townshend’s 64th birthday with another huge Who fan. I just wish Tim could have joined us because he knows his Who, too.

It felt great to be back recording podcasts again. I really missed doing it over the last nine months and I hope to get back into the regular two-week production cycle. Now that the personal stuff is out of the way, only future professional considerations and my own laziness will prevent that from happening.

The version of Drowned that we play isn’t available at Amazon, but you can get it here.

By the way, Jason’s not the only person on the show with a picture of himself with Pete. Here I am circa 1995 with Pete, my old Fender Gemini II acoustic named after Townshend.

I know what you’re thinking: Whatever happened to that handsome skinny kid with all that talent on guitar? I think I ate him.

Yeah. I know I used that same joke on Facebook.
