Milton Greene Needs A Kidney!

If Alan Alda saying, “A guy crying about a chicken and a baby? I thought this was a comedy show” on 30 Rock last night wasn’t the funniest thing I’ve seen all year (even though, as Jack reminds us, it’s only May), it was topped a few minutes later.

Elvis Costello oversinging, Cyndi Lauper coming in the same way she did on We Are The World, the breakdown in the middle?

But we all know who the real star was.*

God, I love this show.

The MASH callback was absolutely brilliant.

I’m not as distressed about The Office situation because I trust them to handle it in a non-sitcom-y way.

The funniest callback since Henry Winkler in front of the mirror on Arrested Development. And even with that, you could see it coming as soon as he stepped to the mirror. This came from so far deep in Nowheresville that I think the entire Tracy plotline was built around getting Alda to say that line.

Okay, so I finally watched it. And I have to be honest. McD looked really, really weird. I loved his line. But he looked really really weird.

I would give Henry Winkler jumping over a shark on Arrested Development some props too.

I was thinking the same thing, Kevin.

  6. admin says:

I was, too. But I didn’t notice that on first viewing.

Good point, Dave. The shark was subtle. The Fonz pose was blatant and hilarious

The shark jump was, to quote Chandler Bing, perfection.
