I worked for him as a 17 year old kid — the same age my son is today. Raised money and the like. I was studying for a final at about 12 on the East Coast. I was also listening to the radio when I heard his victory speech and then its awful aftermath. Took the test the next day in a fog. the following day I went to NYC at 6 in the morning and stood in line until about 2 before I passed his casket at Saint Patrick’s. Then my buddies, my mom and my kid sister went down to Elizabeth to watch his train go by heading for Arlington Cemetary. We’ll not see his like again. RIP Bobby
