“I Fear I’ll Do Some Damage One Fine Day…”
Well, it’s Thanksgiving, and when you combine that with Songs I Never Get Tired Of, that can mean only one thing: Paul Simon singing “Still Crazy After All These Years” in a turkey suit.
There’s really no point in me analyzing this song. We all know it, and why it’s so great.
Here’s the entire song, from MTV Unplugged in 1992. Watching this I realize that the two of the three session musicians who made this song so awesome, pianist Richard Tee, and saxophonist Michael Brecker, are all gone. Thankfully, drummer Steve Gadd is still with us.
Here’s a clip from a special about Paul Simon that features a little bit of something I wanted to post a while ago, but couldn’t find, Simon and Charles Grodin (in an Art Garfunkel wig) singing “The Sound Of Silence.”
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
