Episode 38: The Replacements With Jim Walsh
A little over a month ago, Jim Walsh was on Sound Opinions promoting his book and talking about Let It Be, and I knew that I would have to get him on as a guest. Besides, I’ve wanted to devote an episode to the Replacements for a while, and this was the perfect way to do it, from someone who was there when it all took place.
You’ll hear Jim and I talk about how this book gives you a real sense of what the Minneapolis scene was like back then. Well as I was reading it, Tim tells me that Springsteen is playing St. Paul in mid-March. So as long as I’ve got this whole Twin Cities vibe going on, and that we can never match our schedules to meet up in Vegas, I’m flying out to Minnesota for the concert and to finally get to hang out with him and Michele. Between Bruce and trying to keep up with their alcohol consumption, pray for me.

Terrific interview Dave. It took me back to the second half of high school when I figured out that there were other options out there to listen to. Like you, I came across the band late. The Huseman boys tipped me off.
Hey,
Nice interview. I just finished the book and it was a good read.
