Tuesday Morning Links – Random Sports Edition
So much going on right now. The baseball season is well underway, and, while the Yankees are playing like crap, they did take two of three from the Red Sox at Fenway this weekend. In soccer, MLS has finished about one-third of its season, and United are in the middle of the pack. The US national team is about to play in the Gold Cup, the regional championships, with its first match on Thursday against Guatemala. And there were qualifiers for the European Championship this past Saturday, with another round to be played tomorrow. Basketball and hockey are winding down, but that doesn’t interest me too much (the Caps were out of it before the season began). And if all that wasn’t enough, football teams are currently participating in offseason training sessions. So, with all that to keep track of, I’m dedicating today’s TML to various sports sites.
Ballparks.com is a fantastic resource for information on virtually every past, present and future baseball, football, basketball and hockey arena in America (although it probably needs to be updated more frequently).
Ever watched a cricket match but had no idea what the hell was going on? This site explains the complicated sport for Americans.
My favorite Bar Mitzvah gift was a copy of The Baseball Encyclopedia, which listed the stats of every major league ballplayer ever, and it settled plenty of arguments between my father and me. But you don’t need that huge book anymore. You can just go to Baseball Reference and find it, and more, there.
If you’re looking to follow world soccer but don’t have a club to root for, go to the Famous Football Supporters Page and see which celebrities support which club.
Can’t get a good tee time? Play a round of golf over at Nabisco World.
Finally, two of the most embarassing moments in NFL history.

Some interesting links there! Nicely done.
Thanks, DCSC! I hope things are picking up for you.
Saw a BMW on the toll road today with a Yankee license plate holder. The tag was personalized 26 to 6.
I’ll get on the meme later this week, looks good!
